Suzanne Wertheim, Ph.D. – Worthwhile Research & Consulting
Dr. Suzanne Wertheim is a linguist and linguistic anthropologist. After faculty positions at Northwestern, University of Maryland and UCLA, she founded Worthwhile Research & Consulting, a boutique firm that applies social science to real-world problems. Dr. Wertheim has been researching, writing, and teaching about language and bias for twenty years. She is in frequent conversation with lawyers about issues of workplace bias, discrimination, and harassment.
- In 1991, Dodie founded Legal Information Systems Training, which provided classroom training for law firms around the country. After 17 years, she was hired as Training Manager at Hanson Bridgett and took the firm through upgrades and conversions. From 2012 – 2015, Dodie joined Innovative Computing Systems as their Director of Training. In 2015, she returned to training and consulting under her own business as Dolores Edelstein Consulting. Dodie was the City’s Rep for Training and User Support for ILTA from 2009-2011.

Linda Kachiu, CPA, CGMA
Linda Kachiu is a CPA and Director of the accounting firm of Zainer Rinehard Clarke. Linda’s experience is in tax and business structure issues and opportunities for owners, in addition to extensive internal management, organizational development and design with businesses. She enjoys working with businesses in a variety of industries – including law firms — particularly those whose customer and client experiences are paramount to the business’ success.
- James Budish is an independent California insurance broker specializing in professional liability insurance for lawyers, directors & officers as well as other professions. BIS transacts lawyers professional liability insurance with a dozen different carriers. BIS currently insures more than 2,000 lawyers. The majority of BIS’ clients are law firms with 1-4 attorneys. Jim handles sales and marketing for BIS.
Rose-Ellen is the owner of Fairgrieve Law Office. She advises employers on employment policies and practices, and defends against claims made to administrative agencies and filed in state or federal court. Prior to opening her own firm in 2013, Rose-Ellen was a litigator in the San Francisco Attorney’s Office for 15 years.
- Eric Dewey is managing principal of Group Dewey Consulting, which offers business development training and coaching, client interviews and independent lateral due diligence and integration planning, marketing strategy and research services for law firms. Prior to founding GDC, Dewey held the CMO position in four large law firms including two Midwest AmLaw 200 law firms and two California Mid-size firms.
